Update
Send a card, get a month is live, and it pays both ways
Send a friend any gift card you have digitized, and when they claim it, you both come out ahead: your friend gets a free month of Pro when they claim their first card, and you earn one for every new friend you bring in, up to six. Cards have to be digitized in CardCue before they can be sent, and sending stays free for everyone.
The full walkthrough, including what a free month is worth on each plan, lives at Send a card, get a month. New CardCue users only. Program terms apply.
Update
Add to Apple Wallet export is live
Tap "Add to Apple Wallet" on any digitized gift card and you get a real .pkpass in iOS Wallet, right alongside your credit cards. The pass carries store locations, so iOS surfaces it on your lock screen when you're near the store. It was the most-requested feature from beta, and the pass-signing service is deployed and live today.
Update
Family Sharing is on
One Pro subscription now covers your whole Apple Family. Everyone in the family gets the full Pro app, and each member keeps their own private wallet: no shared household wallet, no merged balances, nobody can see anyone else's cards. Want to hand a card to a family member? That's what Send a Card is for.
Guide
Know your gift card rights
Your gift cards have more legal protection than you think: a five-year federal floor on the funds, limits on inactivity fees, and state rules that can be stronger still. We wrote it all up in plain language in the new Gift Card Rights guide.
Launch
Launch date: August 11, 2026
It's on the calendar: CardCue Pro 1.0 is targeting August 11, 2026 on the App Store. Day one ships with Add to Apple Wallet export, Send a Card, and Family Sharing on the Pro subscription. Between now and then we're polishing, testing, and getting the paperwork in order.
Writing about the launch? The full press kit is ready at press.html. Want to be first in line? The waitlist hears it before anyone else.
Beta
TestFlight beta in full swing
New builds are going out to testers roughly every week, and the app is better for it. The wallet's swipe-and-collapse interactions and the card scanner have both matured through rounds of real-world tester feedback, the kind you only get from people digitizing the actual contents of their junk drawers.
To everyone filing feedback: thank you. You're shaping this one.
Announcement
The waitlist is open
CardCue Pro's site went live, and with it the waitlist. Sign up and you'll get one email when the app launches, plus a heads-up on anything worth knowing between now and then. No drip campaign, no nagging.
