How it works

Three steps to your free year.

  1. Verify with your school email

We email a link to your school address. Click it, and you're verified.

    Start here
  2. Download CardCue Pro

Get the app on your iPhone and sign in with your email. Your free year is already there.

  3. Put those thank-you cards to work

Snap each card once. Cue, our pika, keeps track and chirps (pika for notifications) when you're near the store.

Why we're doing this

Thank-you cards deserve to be used.

At the end of a school year, and around the holidays, a lot of teachers end up with a small stack of gift cards. A coffee card from a student. A bookstore card from a family. A restaurant card from the whole class.

Every one of them is somebody saying thank you. And every one is easy to lose track of: tucked in a desk drawer, half spent, or past its date before there was a free afternoon to use it.

CardCue Pro was built to keep cards like those in one place and help you use them. Giving it to the people who receive so many of them felt like the right place to start.

We want to help you get every bit of value out of the appreciation you've received.

From all of us at Pika Product Lab, the small team behind CardCue Pro.

Questions

Questions educators ask

Who qualifies as an educator?

The program is designed for current educators working in the United States, including:

  • Classroom teachers (K to 12)
  • Substitute teachers
  • Paraprofessionals and teaching assistants
  • Special education teachers and specialists
  • School librarians and media specialists
  • School counselors
  • Principals and school administrators
  • College and university faculty

The final eligibility policy is still being written, and the list may change.

Is this really free?

Yes. The year costs $0, there's nothing to buy, and claiming it never asks for payment details. It's our thank-you to educators.

What happens after 12 months?

PlannedNear the end of your year, the app lets you know and asks if you'd like to keep Pro for $34.99 a year, through the App Store. Say no, or nothing at all, and Pro simply ends. Nothing is charged, and every card you added stays.

What happens to my cards if Pro expires?

Nothing is deleted. Every card you already added stays in your wallet and stays usable. The free plan's limit of 3 active cards applies only to adding new ones.

Is CardCue Pro available on iOS and Android?

iPhone: yes, on the App Store today, with an Apple Watch app included.

Android: not yet. It is being built. PlannedThe educator year is designed to belong to you rather than to one phone, so it can follow you to Android when CardCue Pro arrives there. The Android list is where to hear first.

How is educator eligibility verified?

We email a link to the address your school or district gave you, and you click it. That's the whole check: no documents, no ID, no waiting.

Which email do I sign in to CardCue Pro with?

The one your free year waits on. That's your school email unless you choose another when you verify. Any email works, personal included, so your cards stay yours if you change schools or lose that inbox.

Sign in with that email and your free year is already there; the twelve months start that day. Signing in with Apple works too, if you choose Share My Email and your Apple ID uses that address.

Can a teacher claim the offer more than once?

No. It is one complimentary year per verified educator, across iPhone and Android, not one per device or per app store account. Each school email can claim once.

Who is offering this?

Pika Product Lab LLC, the company that makes CardCue Pro. A school, district or association is named on these pages only when it has agreed to share the program with its members.

You spend your days giving to others.

We'd like to give you something back: a full year of CardCue Pro for every eligible U.S. educator.
